Has your little girl with pigtails and a love for stuffed animals grown into a teenager who loves the latest trends? Has she outgrown her butterfly and flower pink room and needs to update to her new posh designs? There are many ways to decorate a posh girls room. Don't make your daughter stay living in her childhood room forever, give her the new room that will now fit what she is interested in. Here are some decorating ideas for a posh girl's room.

A posh girls' bedroom is so much more than just a place where these girls do their studying and go to bed at night, it is their personal sanctuary. This is where they talk on the phone, do their hair and makeup and have their girlfriends over to gossip. This is a main place that she is going to be meditating over her life and who she is going to become.

With your girl's room being so important to her, it is crucial that you decorate her bedroom in a style she that she wants. If you do it your own way, she will hate it and will probably hate you for it. A posh girl already has her trends set and what she loves or hates. Spend time with your daughter and discuss what her dislikes are and what kind of room it is that she would want.

Since in this time in your daughters life tends to be one full of change, be careful not to decorate with a specific theme in mind because it just might change tomorrow. Trends change from day to day and you don't want to spend a bunch of money on something she will not like in a few months. Try to use colors that can be interchanged with different accessories.

Walls

First think of what color you want her room and then go from there. Painting your walls is the best way to decorate for a posh girls room. Try to stay away from outdated wallpaper. Be creative when you paint you can do 2 opposite walls the same color and then the other ones a darker shade or even a color that complements the other wall. Make sure if your posh girl likes pink, not to decorate everything in pink making it look like a little girls room. Make it classier than you would than when she was just a kid.

Bed

The bedding is an important focal point in any room. Make sure to choose bedding to fit your posh girls style. If she is into boys and music, then keep her bedding simple with maybe more shapes and designs than actual people or things they like. If they love to dazzle, then choose bedding with a few sparkles for a little more glamour in If you choose a bedding set such as the one mentioned above, you can further spice up Also, adding a canopy can give that glamour look as well. Posh girls usually aren't into too much frills and lace, so be careful to not make it look juvenile or too girly.

Accessorize

This is a great way to pull a room together. Accessorize are very important, especially in a girls room who is growing up. They love their things. Decorative pillows, throws, rugs, lamps, photo frames and wall hangings are all great accessories. . Trendy study-lamps and lampshades and overhead retro paper lanterns twill give personality to the room and your posh girl will love them. A mirror is a huge plus to have in her room. Get a full length wall mirror, mirror for her dresser or her vanity. Give her some fun and hip areas to chill in. Add a bean bag char, a love seat or an over stuffed chair for her room. Don't forget to add some posters of her favorite musical groups or movie stars.

Keep in mind that posh girls have their own style and trends. Make sure you decorate her room in things that she is into right now. Keep the color scheme simple and make the accessories the things you can change when she wants something new in her room.
